The Oregon Telecommunications Association Scholarship Foundation was established to offer scholarships to employees and immediate families of OTA members to further education in colleges, universities and trade schools.
In addition, the Foundation is proud to offer the Diana Coleman Memorial Scholarship to honor a long-time board member, supporter and friend of the Foundation. This additional scholarship will be awarded from the overall applications submitted.
2017 OTA Scholarship instructions to Member Companies:
The OTA Scholarship Foundation is again making scholarship funds available to encourage and assist employees of OTA member companies and their families to pursue higher education and training opportunities.
To be eligible for an award, the applicant must be a full-time or regular part-time employee, or an immediate relative of someone who is a full-time or regular part-time employee of a company that is a member of the Oregon Telecommunications Association. The employee must physically work within the state of Oregon. Immediate relative may include spouse, son/daughter, sister/brother, parent or grandson/granddaughter. An applicant is eligible to receive an OTA scholarship a maximum of two times. Be sure to review page one of the application form for additional qualifications.
Please post this material in your employees’ work areas and make additional copies of the application available to your employees as necessary. Please be sure to post the entire application packet, including the first page with all the instructions. The application may be completed online and after completion, it must then be printed, signatures obtained where noted and submitted together will all supporting documentation required including letters of reference.
Applications must be received in the OTA office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017. Completed packets can either be hand-delivered, mailed, e-mailed or faxed to the OTA office. A post mark of March 31, 2017 will be acceptable for an envelope received after the deadline. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered for a scholarship award.
